Picus Viridus
2019The laugh from the Picus Viridus, the green woodpecker and the rubbish from my sewing basket were enough for this painting.
Together
2025
An unfinished flower fairy crosstitch work from the 80ies, re-used in a mixed media.
Cecile Mary Barker
The Gorse fairy
“When gorse is out of blossom,”
(Its prickles bare of gold)
“Then kissing’s out of fashion,”
Said country-folk of old.
Now Gorse is in its glory
In May when skies are blue,
But when its time is over,
Whatever shall we do?
O dreary would the world be,
With everyone grown cold—
Forlorn as prickly bushes
Without their fairy gold!
But this will never happen:
At every time of year
You’ll find one bit of blossom—
A kiss from someone dear!
Slings & Slings

Imperishable
2013A visit at the cemetery where graves are cleared. Disrespectful are the stones thrown in a container. Shall I......can I...... I pick up some pieces of stones which came down along the container. A bibleverse comes to my mind: So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; (1 Corinthians 15:42 NIV) The pieces, the yellow sand and a luminous blue sky, the promise.........Imperishable
Straight line
2013Straight finds out of nature, the kitchen, the barn and so on.
Free bird

Red Summer
